This is the second track of the “Broken Rites EP”.

With “Black Core”, the perspective shifts radically inward. As the dark center of the work, the song reveals that what appears threatening is not only external, but continues to exist within: as shadow, mirror image, and an unresolved bond to what has been buried.

The release was created in an iterative process with AI support, but the final output is predominantly original work - especially in sound design, synth work, rhythm, arrangement, structure, and final refinement. The artificial voice is used intentionally as part of the aesthetic concept, rather than as a stand-in for a conventional vocal performance. Also, quite frankly, we did not have a real vocalist available.

The result is a four-part work about longing, inner darkness, damaged grace, and the final act of laying down the mask.
