In his ambient piece, “Full Moon Bathtub,” acrylicbathhouse underscores an intriguing moment between a couple concerning the nature of love as it is experienced in an altered state. This leads us to a bigger question: Is love itself an altered state?

Building on the momentum of the piece, I went with breakbeats and an acidline to allow the stems to double their energy in pitch. I wanted to see what would happen and it turns out that his stems do sound good when the rates are doubled.
I’m looking forward to more material from acrylicbathhouse — he has a good ear when it comes to blending organic and synthetic sounds.
