The Homeless Man
coruscate
For streaming service uploads use features “The Incomplete Orchestra” (human vocals) and “SorryDave” if you use the opening AI vocals. Real vocals included.
So there’s multiple stories that go into the creation of this song… let’s start with the Wu-Tang associate Warcloud, who was the original inspiration for this song. So I buy licensed acapellas from Anno Domini Nation among other things… recently Chino XL passed away so Canibus and a few other artists including Pete Rock, Warcloud and Killah Priest threw down some pellas for a fund raiser. Warcloud’s pella… didn’t rhyme and rambled. Rambled hard. The original has not debuted on streaming yet. (This version will too by the end of October) It went from talking about aliens to gigantopithicus to ancient history and none of it made any sense… I mean it was totally on beat but still… I know it was for a good cause but… reminded me of a drug induced rant.
So the original verse made me think of my time being homeless and other people including my ex-wife who I’ve met who were. Now, the lyrics do mention meth, I personally have never had any interactions. But it’s a part of homeless right now so I spoke on everything. But living in my car? Done that. I only caught the light side of homelessness. It ain’t fun out there.
Oh wait there’s more… so the acapella that starts before mine is a rambling mess. Several months ago OpenAI’s chatGPT was having a severe data problem and spit out gibberish. My friend Eric Other saved some of it for me… he didn’t really want credit but I always credit… and I have my AI voice “SorryDave” read it. I wasn’t sure how to use it. Now it’s used LOL. Because I could not put Warcloud’s acapella on CCMixter for licensing reasons, nor let y’all use it. I considered using another CCMixter’s contribution… even if an old unused one… but I felt some would find it insulting. So here we go.

What what did he say? I can’t understand it
He sounds like he came from a distant planet
God damn it, the frequency unjam it
Scan for a meaning a beachcomber magnet
A dragnet, collecting thoughts that inhabit
The scrambled brains of the silly rabbit
A bandit, takes what’s granted run the gamut
So stagnate doing drugs unhealthy habit
————-
The homeless man, doing what he can
Doing his best but he’s already damned
This poor man, is livin out his car
Stays In the city center nothing is far
He might have a job but he sleeps like a slob
Parked in the lot his bed has no knobs
Disturbed by the cops, sometimes sleep stops
re-park just hops further up the block
Babbling on the corner like a preacher on a box
Bounced out the halfway house needs detox
Spends all this time searching for meth rocks
told to kick rocks the black sheep of the flock
Ain’t it bizarre, disaster’s not distant
Homelessness awaits if you’re not persistent
You’re not resistant, miss some payments
New tenants, (hahah) your replacements

The shelter system also makes victims
Run with rhythms of unhealthy prisons
Seen through the prism, a dark rainbow glistens
Drug use runs rampant because no on listens
We are all trapped inside capitalism
Understand it’s a homicidal organism
The chasm it’s often left unfathomed
Unexamined not imagined it happens
Class warfare is hardly fair
Unless you get the guillotine and go right there
Call me Charles-Henri Sanson
Run up to the doors and burn down the mansion
Whoever knew arson was a federal crime
Locked inside a padded room instead of doing time
But I’m chained confined inside of my mind
A bind trapped inside walls I cannot climb
