When I heard this vocal, I couldn’t help but want to take this back about 30 years or so. I kept hearing the Stevie Wonder type progressions and just went with it. I kept the arrangement very simple and straight forward just like in the old days. The vocals with their wonderful melody did all of the work on this one. I just sat back and tried to give them something to groove to.
