I had this mix completed and was looking for some spoken word to flesh it out a bit when I came across fourstones’s fantastic upload - it seemed to fit quite well with the song, and the story behind it, of his father’s recital, was wonderful. This still doesn’t feel completely finished to me, so I’d love some suggestions on where to take it - any ideas?

(update: I uploaded the drums, melody, and sliced piano as separate files on fourstones’s suggestion. Apologies on the poor mic quality on the melody - I worked my way around it by slapping on some chorus and reverb so that it’s less noticeable in the full mix. Let me know if the pads would be useful, too; they’re pretty standard sounds and pretty simple parts, so I didn’t upload them, but I could do so easily. )
