So I had this nearly almost good OTHER remix of Broken and about 3 weeks ago it just stopped playing. Nothing. All the green lights moved but no sound. Then that magical elf Laswell put out a gorgeous untouchable Broken mix. I am not sure how this all came together, I am feverishly trying to remember all the Grand Crus of Burgundy in their north to south order, the shared geography of Bonnes Mares, the absolute austerity of unspeakable Pinot Noir and how wine was the only sex of the papal enclaves, way back then.
I chose to work with the mp3 that has the reverby trails; I turned them into little drum loops, the chimey bits are actually Amelia’s harmonic vocal trails sped up and syncopated. I put a little vocal harmony on top, reverbed almost to death- and then we both went through the reverse button, speaking in tongues, waiting for the Montrachet to coat our anxious cups.
