I have been working on this for awhile. I have never really done a truly ambient piece before; I like it. All the noises are from the Winter Lights sample pack, but seriously transformed via FX & extreme tempo changes. The only thing I added was the bitty bitty flute thing to suggest the small, atonal melody that forms the middle. And a winter witch sort of vocal for a minute.
It is clearly made for a larger space, with visual elements happening, and not a ‘hang out at home with the headphones on and mellow out’ kind of piece.
