Moon Shadow Grin
PorchCat
I finally installed FL Studio 9. I adore it. This is my first remix using the new software. I was pretty familiar with Big Bonobo’s sample packs, as I’ve used them before. Fiddling and mangling, as I usually do, I came upon this sound poem. It uses only Big Bonobo’s samples except for my drums. I hope you enjoy it!
Pre-cut ACIDized 1-bar drum loops from the song included as a zip file.
——
Moon.
Shadow.
Grin.
That wicked smile reflects in the rain pools.
That silent grin dances from roof to roof.
Wandering the darkened streets at midnight.
The boogeyman beneath the boards.
Dew settles as the stars watch silently.
I dream of a fever,
and it loves me.
The warm soft clouds,
and the soundless rain.
This is where I have come,
to the perfect road beyond the grid,
haze dreaming of jazz,
and relief confusion in a dance,
a moon shadow grin,
and a bourbon fairy.
