I am in my 67th year and I have never experienced a time like this. I hope for my childrens sake we never see anything like it again
Many thanks to Javolenus for his inspirational guitars
It’s just a mystery how beauty coming from the sea
Could give all this to you and me we did not ask this favour
A thousand stand behind the door waving arms a million more
Their feet stuck to the slippery floor theyre asking us to save them
What can we tell them what do we know
The harvesters have had their way spoken words on which they lay
The challenges of crazy days the mistakes of the choosen
Soon to be and soon to grow the laboured breaths of men unknown
Bear witness to the seeds they’ve sown when time feels like its frozen
What can we tell them what do we know
In the distance someone knows the reason why we came to blows
With natures army on its toes to scar us with its fury
But as we shake and scream our pain for loves now lost never regained
The saddest face will show its pain for one more empty story
When doors are opened fresh fields walked the solitary all will talk
Of how they kept themselves the hawks prepared to enter battle
And down where waters run to sea invisible but honed and free
The reason for our misery escapes as our sabres rattle
