Rosa's Story
Radioontheshelf
There are often two sides to a story but sometimes it is too hard to turn the page.
Thanks to Skye Jordan for the inspiration
I met her at six thirty at the back of a theatre
She was wearing to much makeup for my taste
And her clothes they were suggestive of a life that was directed
To the darker sides which often led to waste
In her hand she had a letter from a lawyer based in Bedford
Who had sort her out to give her some good news
She’d been left a house in Cambridge by a man who was quite famous
He was a customer she often had refused
Oh Rosa Rosa Rosa
How do you look so composed uh
How do you keep your sense of humour amongst the pain
Oh Rosa Rosa Rosa
Is this really what you’re after
Its amazing how you never complain
It seems that devils can be angels to those whose life is ending
Always better to be sitting on the fence
Nicer to be kinder a really good reminder
The Grim Reaper might think this is some defence
When judgement falls upon the weakest shoulders
And books are written without all the facts
The truth is often crushed and battered
And often its too hard to make your own way back
Oh Rosa Rosa
