I recently listened to Kara’s wonderful recording of a conversation she had with her father and then later found her beautiful song Recall.

I had the backing track from another project and slowed the tempo down to fit Kara’s vocal. My BT was in a different key so I adjusted Kara’s phrasing to fit.

The result is a piece where the music and words start to drift apart but somehow manage to keep a hold on each other much the same as we find ourselves doing in life
