Christmas in Gaza
Radioontheshelf
I continue to be saddened by the crisis in Gaza. The TV news goes from images of politicians justifying the continued use of deadly force in Gaza to the faces of its men, women and children trying to survive.
Gaza city is 45 miles from Bethlehem in the West Bank. The place where we are told a man was born who would stop all suffering. The trouble was God sent us a man when we needed so much more.
Thanks to Susan for her wonderful vocal
From distant shores I hear you call the light is dimming
And in the temples of the righteous they shout for new beginnings
Unanswered questions fill the air with their confusion
And you are waiting for a brand new day and the solution
In tattered cities the young look on with disbelieving
The future lays amongst the rubble as the people are leaving
They say one day peace will stay and offer guidance
To those who need a better way without resistance
