God's On The Rocks

I went to the shops today to get some food in. As I walked down the streets I did not have to fight my way through bombed out buildings and the detritus of war torn towns. I did not need to scour the skies for the signs of missiles heading towards me nor did I need to peer at the windows of the buildings either side of me for snipers. Apart from the gentle hum of everyday life there was no screaming or the wailings of mothers as they held their lifeless children in their arms. When I reached the shops they were full of food and the prices as normal as they are in these unsteady times. As I walked home I could see my house in the distance, still standing with my family safe inside its walls.
I am a lucky man.
Many thanks to The Admiral for another beautiful piece of singing
