The problem with remixing is just how much to add and how much to take away. In this case the wonderfully sung vocal dictated a more simple approach.

Here I have taken Loveshadow’s dry vocal and just treated it to remove the headphone bleed. The phrasing and pitching are exactly as he sang it. The key was quick to find, Aminor, and the piano was played a couple of times to scan correctly with his vocal. The song I felt needed a bit of “twang” so I played in some Telecaster guitar.

Simple as that!
