Someone's Heart is Broken: For Fireproof Babies
SackJo22
I was very sad to learn today that our friend Joe Lincoln, who shared music with us as Fireproof Babies died.
Joe’s music was a pure expression of who he was with no pretense whatsoever. I always appreciated how he could conjur up associations — mostly of the punk clubs I frequented as a youngster — he had a knack for tapping into the sounds of my Hollywood club scene past. His music could alternately express his delight in silliness or the planets, as well as the pathos of his complicated emotional life.
I will miss seeing him ‘round the mixter where he was not only a prolific contributor (over 300 uploads), but a supporter of other mixter artists, and a vibrant member of our community.
This track is dedicated to Joe, created quickly, lo fi, with the crickets in the studio making an appearance, and with the utmost appreciation for what he shared with us.
