Apollo is persistent
despite Dionysian dreams
cluttering all the chaos cool
made it to the moon at least

so we’ll dance drunk along the sun
alone at last with light alas
look at all the damage done
no more naked night anon
nor neon flare for floaters on

with empty eyes that shine
hungover with the dew
mangy mind come spheres aligned
luck aloof and lack accrue
pouting pain, persuading swoon
unloving of the likes of you

take care from boredom’s brew
glide with mood’s wing glow
havoc not with lot anew
sleep with sooth-sing snow
that seldom ever sorrow slew

practice is perfect
for all the earth in you
work for what you want
and quit living on the moon
