Here you can find the files and rules for The League Of Extraordinary Mikes remix contest.
The rules:
1) These samples are licensed to you (the contest participant) under a Creative Commons 3.0 Attribution Noncommercial license. This means you can use the samples for whatever purpose you want as long as a) credit is given where credit is due and b) you make no money with the track.
2) Dates: The contest opens 12:01 AM on November 25, 2007, and entries must by in by 12:01 AM on February 21, 2008 (all times Pacific Standard Time; the contest runs for two months.)
3) Prizes:
- Sony Acid Music Studio 7 software
- Diamond cuts: Hip Hop Gems loop library
- Rondo Brothers: Trip-Hop Loops & Samples loop library
4) How to enter: When you are finished with your track, send it in .mp3 format to imeversole@yahoo.com. Also, participants are not limited in the number of entries they can submit.
5) Distribution: While you can’t sell your track either online or offline, feel free to distribute your remix in digital formats (or analog if you feel so inclined) such as through myspace or other music posting sites. If you are able to give credit to the original group (The League of Extraordinary Mikes) please do, and mention this contest if possible as a manner of attribution. If you can do neither, that’s fine, but please notify me if such cases arise.
Now, how this works.
The track up for remix is “Focus” by The League of Extraordinary Mikes (you can find the parts here). Also provided is the acapella for “Pure Rap” by White Noise (which can be downloaded here) Parts can be mixed or matched, you can add your own parts as you please, just make the best mix you can. The best remix wins. Any questions can be sent to imeversole@yahoo.com
Once again:

Happy remixing!
Edit: there was a mixup in the parts, the correct links can be found now. Sorry about that!
