This whole Corona virus is stressful for everyone, but I’m really pissed off now because my mother is in a nursing home in my city that just got their first case and it happened to be one of her roommates. So, into isolation she goes. Thankfully she herself is showing no symptoms, but she is in a room with no phone, and all I can do is have messages passed back and forth through her PSW.

It’s an unfortunate truth that long term care facilities are a breeding ground for this horrific virus, the aged are high risk everywhere. I grieve especially now for those who died and are dying still in Bobcaygeon, Ontario, and every long care facility.

Our Elders deserve better.
