Of My Heaven & My Hell - A capella (Christmas Carol by COFFEEEUROPE In the voice of Jacinda Espinosa)
HEKTOR THILLET (coffeeeurope)
Happy holidays to everyone from yours truly and angel voice Jacinda Espinosa :)
Of My Heaven and My Hell is a carol I wrote for a very tragic Christmas short story of mine, called Nevermore. In the script [which I’m still working on…] this song would open the play sang by a children’s choir…; in a sort of Christmasy but ominous way.
Since the ‘Gift of Song’ event came to my knowledge…, I was toying w the idea of recording a performance of it. But then I thought! I am not a children’s choir! [:P] So! That’s where Jacinda came in - she is a choir alright! B)
I contacted her, she sounded excited about the project, we got the Christmas spirit going, and to make a long story short - it was a delight working together; since we both seem to be Christmas tree huggers :D She took such good care of my little carol! It had to sound sweet, but have that mischievous/dark tone - she knew exactly what I meant! So glad I thought of her angelic voice. Big thanks to her! And… thank you! …for listening to our little carol. Enjoy!
Here are the lyrics [they are written sort of for a stage play] :
Of My Heaven and My Hell
by COFFEEEUROPE
*Christmas bells begin softly then gradually louder. Choir follows in the same fashion. *
(Choir Chorus)
Of my heaven and my hell
*repeats many times and continues indefinitely*
(Children)
Of my heaven and my hell
Empty heart full of regret
‘Tis the story very well
Art thou hear never tell
Christmas Carol or a hymn
Tragic ending fairy’s tale
Garden flower to a bloom
Winter falling never ends
Hearts of red coal still beating
Secret keeping, apple red
What’s forbidden is a snake
Falling leaf a gust of death
Is not lethal but ice breaks
Is it happy or sad fate?
Why the snow on Christmas day
Fire devil
Angel’s kiss
‘Tis the story never tell
(Chorus)
Of my heaven and my hell
*Choir continues ‘till close*
