The great relaxed groove in “Having Trouble Remembering” set me down the path for this tune. I was trying to experiment with interlocking rhythms outside of my usual territory of straight 4/4 drums and syncopated rapping.

Probably not the pellas that the artists behind the instrumentals I sampled were hoping for, and totally out of context, but that’s what I aim for :)
