Quack A Smile
duckett
Once again I drew Scomber- which is always a pleasure, since he’s a prolific uploader with a wide variety of great material.. I’ve always enjoyed his sense of playfulness, well-evidenced in the main source for the madness you hear here, “Put a Smile on Your Face”. I decided to use it as much as possible, chopping a vocal “ss” sound for a hi-hat, low vowels for some stuttery bass noises, the list goes on. the other stems supplied piano and drum samples. The actual vocal track was oddly vocoded, doubled, sliced at transients, and subjected to much other twisted and unholy manipulations. I added some bleary synth to hold a sort of thread through this journey of playful exploration. Anyway, sorry for the late entry, but with all the shenanigans taking place, Mister DAW was deciding to crash on attempts to render.. a stern talking-to was given, and here we are. Hope you like!
