When I came across “Out Into The Open” , I know that it would form the nucleus for the remix- very much capturing the feeling of when the floor drops out of your castle in the air, so to speak.. there’s an almost ferocious readiness to engage with life, yet the pain is still fresh and waiting to settle in. The glitching and manipulation of the vocals, as well as the unsettled yet driving nature of the rest, is meant to evoke the state painted by the lyrics.. yet a leaf blown far from the tree must come to rest eventually, yes?
