Oh wow, where do you even start with remixing Doxent? How many hundreds of contributions are there to go through? I was honored and yet overwhelmed to be assigned this legend of ccMixter in this mix-up.

I decided to focus mainly on the ones which haven’t been used in anything before, picking out ambient textural elements which could be used to make a snowy-sounding winter landscape, and it just kind of grew from there.

It’s primarily a snippet from towards the end of “Broken Piano Keys,” time-manipulated and layered over itself, with the drums from “Affair in the Orient Express” and some background texture from “Sun Ra.” I also added in some other textural elements.
