Terminal
jaspertine
There’s no real significance to the title of this track, other than carrying on my fascination with airports.
All tones from this track are coming from a single synth (here’s a little tip, pure sinewave plus excessive reverb equals instant magic) and some percussion. Most notably, a snipped from Bill Ray’s 6/8 rhythm track, which was just begging to be sped up and procedurally stuttered.
I’ve been listening to a lot of slow, hypnotic, sounds from unusual sources, and falling asleep to them while sitting in the backseat of a van, which is something I don’t really think I’ve emulated here, but might take a crack at in the future. I do think I managed to keep with the airport vibe, though, so I guess that’s something.
