Droplets
jaspertine
A relatively simple, repetitive piece, with a lot of attention spent on specific minutia while the majority of it is left to just drone on.
Funny enough, I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the arguments I used to get into over my music not having any emotional punch to it… and I guess that’s subjective… but these days, I’m pretty okay with working around thoughts and ideas rather than feelings.
This track is drawing a lot from dream imagery… and also water, what with the rhythm section being built entirely out of water dripping in a bathtub. Water has some kind of deep significance to me, I think it’s because my grandparents used to live right on the coast, and I spent many afternoons staring off into the ocean.
The track is called droplets because of the sound of dripping water… and also because I have a cold.
