Burnt Up
jaspertine
A groovy little alt-rocker based around a repeating B6 dyad with shifting bass notes implying chord changes. The intro takes some clear inspiration from Key of Karavana by Limblifter, then goes off into its own thing.
This track is a bit shorter and a bit simpler than what I usually make, and the upshot of that is I had a little more time to tool around with the drums, and I think the song has a little more energy as a result.
( watch the VOD)
The guitars are a bit grimy, not overly distorted. It’s a very nostalgic sound for me, as a disciple of 90s Canadian Alternative Rock.
