Life is But A Dream (So Cut of your Head)
Mana Junkie
Max woke up. He leaned over to the nightstand beside the bed and reached for the bottled water that stood patiently like a sentinel.
The last tendrils of sleep fading away in his mind and he was trying to remember the dream itself.
Now that he was wide awake and looking about the room, a random thought occured to him.
Maybe dreams are visions tapping into the multiplex of otherwhens and otherwheres?
Kara Square:
YRICS
Breathe, breathe, breathe in deep
With a steady stream
Peacefully, peacefully
Life is but a dream
Fall, fall, fall asleep
Gentle moonbeam
Tranquilly, tranquilly,
Life is but a dream
Fly, fly, fly above
Through the evergreens
Freely soar, freely soar
Life is but a dream
Wake, wake, wake yourself
From your lucid dream
Full of awe, full of awe
Life’s a waking dream
Breathe, breathe, breathe in deep
As the sun gleams
Wide awake, wide awake
Life is but a dream
Snowflake:
My beloved provokingly said
“My dear you must cut off your head.”
But if I lose my mind
What pain will I find
In my cells where my fear hides instead?
The future consumes me with dread
From terrors seemed destined ahead
“We are doomed!” I profess
I think therefore I’m hopeless
He repeats, “You must cut off your head.”
My faculties hang by a thread
Should I release? Have I been misled?
Am I spinning insane
With this wheel for a brain
He cries out, “Cut off your head!”
A vision appears of my Deathbed
My pale emptied veins have been bled
Stabbed, I’ve been broken apart
By a wounded, agonized heart
My head is gone, but my soul lives instead.
