As one of ccmixter’s oldest survivors, and at the risk of sounding old and waxing nostalgic, I’ve seen alot of people come and go through ccmixter. Some have stuck around as long as me. At least 1 has stuck around longer. And many have left.

But others have come in, found out about the pretty special community of good natured souls we have here, and stick around awhile. So the music is constantly evolving, constantly reinventing itself, and constantly giving back in ways that are easy to question and not so easy to understand.

Viva la mixter. You guys all make it a very special place. A true melting pot of musical talent, genres, and cultures like nothing else anywhere.
