Watching the news and seeing the plight of Ukrainian refugees, Families split up, Homes destroyed, Mothers with children and elderly people in the cold, bewildered and lost made me so very angry and sad at the same time.
I’ve tried to channel those feelings into this track. I found a sample of a Ukrainian singer I didn’t need to understand what she was singing about it didn’t matter. I just listened and let it guide me.
In parts she sounded sad and in others she’s strong and defiant which reflects the resilience of the Ukrainian people.
I pray that all wars end and that people are able to live in peace.
