Humpty Dumpty Vocals
sbenrap
The short version:
Have fun.
The long version:
I am no singer, nor artist and I do not play any kind of instrument.
I do however write songs and tunes and hum them.
I am getting married at the end of September.
I decided to try the impossible and write a surprise song which will be played during the slow dance in my wedding.
Shira Shaked along with Erez Kariel managed to somehow pull chords out of my hums and provided all the music which can (hopefully) be found in the samples page.
They also allowed me to put them under CC.
I am very grateful for all they have done.
About the vocals (aka excuses):
Only a few takes of the vocals were made due to the lack of time I could invest in secrecy (future wife thinks I’m at work, work thinks I’m with my future wife, and I’m trying to sing a song elsewhere :)).
I appreciate any comments, but please put them in layman terms, as I have no musical background whatsoever.
WAV High quality samples and MP3 of final remix are available upon request.
Lyrics:
I sat on a wall
I had a great fall
I broke every limb
and fractured my soul
It’s funny how one day
you crave to be my wife
and then in a moment,
you walk out of my life…
And all the king’s horses
and all the king’s men
they try and they try
but they just can’t explain
All the king’s horses
and all the king’s men
Can’t put the pieces
together again
I sat on a wall
Alone in my fall
I broke every bone
And started to crawl
Start looking for someone
Who can help a lost soul
Find light in darkness
And to make me whole
And all the king’s horses
and all the king’s men
they tried and they tried
but it was all in vain
All the king’s horses
and all the king’s men
couldn’t put the
pieces together again
And all the king’s horses
and all the king’s men
and all the king’s children
and all the king’s friends
(And then you came)
And all the king’s horses
(And then you came)
and all the king’s men
(And then you came)
and all the king’s children
(And then you came)
and all the king’s friends
(And then you came)
And all the kings horses
(And then you came)
and all the kings men
(And then you came)
They couldn’t put them
(And you put me)
Together again
(And then you came)
(And then you came)
(And then you came)
(And you put me)
Together again
Have fun.
