Telephone rings
like it did once before
but lately I haven’t got much to say no

the craziest things
now too large to ignore
cause lately I haven’t seen em changing

Wonder what for?
a chance maybe?
to reminisce
and maybe kiss
pretend to live the dream

The promise I saw
slipped by on me in a stream
now washed away
and sanctified
my conscience clean
for all to see
