A short song about a very sad dog that I used to see every morning on my way to work.
After many weeks of seeing her on the same corner every morning I eventually found out what she was waiting for and it broke my heart.

Friday morning rushing
working for the man
shes on the sidewalk by the baker
every morning sad
staring vacant
not the life that she had planned
solitary waiting
with a heart thats slowly breaking

watch the world go by
waiting patiently for someone
but dont know the reason why
Feel the sadness in her eyes
as you walk on by
she wears a memory like aching scar
with faith she holds within her heart
as Sally greets another car
her hopes are raised

“Thats old Sally, shes been waiting
for her owner whos passed on”
