I’ve had a beautiful experience creating with Kara’s uke. I’d started working on writing this little song a couple of weeks ago. Listening to her track was like a lightbulb going on — and with a key change and a few melodic shifts, well, it blossomed into this ditty.

June is a big month for me — in addition to my hubby’s birthday, it is also our first anniversary.

I knew I wanted to give him something creative and have been using the cards and letters he’s given me as inspiration. The lyrics to this song are all taken from a letter he wrote me before we were married. You could say I’m mashing up his love letter to me. :)

I imagine Kara and I playing this live on an unplugged stage at the Big Music Fest (could we do that somehow virtually?)…thank you Kara!!
