Peace in the Garden

I love ccMixter and gave to the IndieGoGo campaign. Who’s with me?
This is my first attempt at an ambient track — it was much more challenging than I expected. I started with MyFreeMickey’s awesome loop and cut it up a bit, and threw a massive amount of reverb on it. Then I took parts of Chuck’s beautiful synth track and cut it up to fit the loop and melody I could hear in my head. Did the same thing with a small part of Javolenus’s guitar and Sackjo’s vocals. Then added some of my own synth sounds and bass. Then added Susan’s spoken word - cutting it up to fit the track - adding delay, compression and verb. (I sang along with her in some parts too). For something different, I used an uncut section of Javolenus’s guitar and Martijn’s bass track.
Not exactly the masterpiece I was hoping for, but I enjoyed the tranquility of working with this music (especially Susan’s divine lyrics).
Peace.
