Adaptation (pell)
Snowflake
(Starts at :09) —— This song is connected to urmymuse’s delightful “I Could Adapt for You” — what a wonderful band/track to work with!
HERE is my Remix.
The pell was inspired by the new National Geographic series One Strange Rock — which is possibly the best show I’ve ever seen on television (TV usually makes me nauseous).
Of all songs I’ve written so far, Adaptation is a bit too nerdcore for my household, but I’ve really enjoyed writing and recording it — and it seems to fit my March for Science passion lately. ;)
Apologies for the “track” noise of urmy muse that i’m singing along too — i needed to hear it loudly and that’s headphone bleed.
Can’t wait to hear what you do!
Adaptation
by Madam Snowflake
Saharan dust from a desert storm
Feeds the Amazon
That gives off transpiration
Diatoms sink to the seabed floor
Converting CO2 for system oxygenation
Everything here works so perfectly
Earth a rare body of harmony
Balance is tipping
We’re out of form
Life as we know depends
On our transformation
I could adapt for you
We gotta adapt it’s true
Now there’s no choice
Now there’s no choice
After all
A magnetic field from an iron core
Shields the solar wind and UV radiation
Our atmosphere has no two way door
All pollutants we burn build in accumulation
Everything here works so perfectly
Earth a rare body of harmony
Balance is tipping
Like eras before
Five prior events of
Mass extinction
I could adapt for you
We gotta adapt it’s true
I could adapt for you
We gotta adapt it’s true
Now there’s no choice
Now there’s no choice
After all
Everything here works so perfectly
Earth a rare body of harmony
Everything here works so perfectly
Earth is one body in harmony
But balance is slipping
We can’t ignore
Survival depends
On adaptation
I could adapt for you
We gotta adapt it’s true
I could adapt for you
We gotta adapt it’s true
Now there’s no choice
Now there’s no choice
After all
