Coming Home
Snowflake
Drawing Analog By Nature was so awesome! His track with all of the stems (Get It) inspired me to write this song immediately. It flowed out of me with ease and well, a lot of emotion. I know you guys all know I’m a goofball (hubby calls me Waterfall) and there were several times while singing that I was seriously bawling with tears down my face (my excuse for any wonkiness LOL).
ABN made this easy for me — I just added another full verse section for the arrangement and treated, EQ’d and did some minor editing on his stems.
At this time in the history books, I feel gratitude for our global community more than ever. I’d love to hear about how you’re dealing with this worldwide shutdown, and if music is helping you like it’s helping me (of course only if you want!).
I do believe humanity has needed a shock, to wake up. And I had no idea it would look like this. We’ve already lost a member of our family to this virus, so I know its real. I also know suffering purifies us, and has the potential to evolve us.
Sending you all so much gratitude and hope.
Coming Home
by Madam Snowflake
All of the world looks upside down (everything’s changing, changing)
Illusions of future come crashing down (no use resisting)
Looking out the window (I’m not alone)
Looking out the window (no, you’re not alone)
Looking out the window, going home, going home going home
Wake up I am here beside you
Wake up light is all around you
Wake up this shock is what will grow you
So wake up wake up wakeup wakeup
This the place where we start again
Oh, this is the time when we make amends
Oh, this is how we learn, at the point of no return
So don’t go backwards my friends
Yea, I have been praying for intervention (the world is changing, changing)
Nature abused, harmony forgotten (and now we’re suffering)
Looking out the window (I’m not alone)
Looking out the window (no, you’re not alone)
Looking out the window, coming home, coming home coming home
Wake up I am here beside you
Wake up light is all around you
Wake up this shock is what will grow you
So wake up wake up wakeup wakeup
This the place where we start again
Oh, this is the time when we make amends
Oh, this is how we learn, at the point of no return
So don’t go backwards my friends
Transcend this
Transform and transcend this though it hurts and feels strange
We can transcend this my friends
Don’t you know we have to change
Looking out the window (I’m not alone)
Looking out the window (no, you’re not alone)
Looking out the window, we are home, we are home, we are home
Wake up I am here beside you
Wake up light is all around you
Wake up this shock is meant to grow you
So wake up wake up wakeup wakeup
This is the place where we start again
Oh, this is the place where we make amends
Oh, this is how we learn
It is a beginning, this is not the end
This is the place where we start again
Oh, this is the place where we make amends
Oh, this is how we learn, to love we return
Let’s not go backwards my friends
Transcend this
Transform and transcend this though it hurts and feels strange
We can transcend this in the end
Don’t you know we have to change
