At the Mana Stadium
Listening to mana junkie’s tracks, two things really stood out :
the drum tracks and the acid pro sound
My first mix just used drum tracks from Notice, the tone was so beautiful, and I sent them through sundry ring modulators, reverbs and delays, to produce a sort of atmospheric ambient sound, quite in line with the blue hour theme.
I let the track sit for a few days, but when I came back to listen, felt it lacked the sizzle, so I dropped the drum stems and worked with the piano stems, working this time more on the pitch and the speed. And I jigged my home-baked reaktor synth bass, to try and get some of that acid pro sound.
Left this for a day or two, and then stumbled on the synth solo from the Mobil Incident track. Repitched this, sent it through a twin delay and that gave me the title of my remix.
Quite a long way from the initial blue hour track, but I hope it finds favor.
