I was struck by the concept of watching ideas hang, as an activity. Imparting action into the seemingly inactive. Idle bodies, active minds… cold exterior, warm interior… in the darkness, reach for the light… that sort of thing. In that spirit I wanted to keep this mix ‘chill’ but also not without motion. So I built an increasingly complex rhythmic glitch backing and pared down the spoken word to the essence of my perception, using the ambient samples as a smoothening agent.
