Safe Sax
Get down on it
Started with the 5 tracks construction kit in J Langs “If this is all you See The Dirty Water ReMix”. Added Slap Johnson’s sax and ElRon’s guitar. In places, riffs from two different ElRon guitar tracks that were recorded during the same session are used in tandem.
Due to much rumble and flutter in the low end, replaced J Lang’s bass with a MIDI version of the same bass line and drums with tighter yet less old school samples.
The horn section hook sounded vaguely like Kool & The Gang’s “Get Down On It” vocal hook. Luckily there a similar vocal hook “get down on it, we both need it” is contained in Guests of Nature’s Heaven Avenue, which is no longer publish on ccmixter. The guestsofnature vocals are used in the two alternative mixes.
