Talk To Me

After listening to Speck’s Talk To Me, was motivated to discover many song entitled Talk To Me especially on archive.org and youtube. One of the songs discovered was a ccmixter.org remix by robomusic entitled Talk To Me.
Been wanting to experiment with Jackin’ House beats. Overlayed a drum beat, with little bottom end, on top of robomusic’s remix. 5 minutes and done. Right?
Wrong.
Listening with a studio subwoofer, the lower frequency stereo panning was masked. Chopped off some of the intro where the effect was move prevalent but the low end stereo panning was present throughout the mix due to Javolenus’ guitar chord sample used by robomusic.
Wanted to remove the planned low frequencies by making the lower frequencies mono using Basslane. But, the Basslane plugin has been blowing up in FL Studio since the last major DAW software release. Used a less thorough solution employing Izotope Ozone mid-side EQ to reduce bass on the side to dampen the audibly panned lower frequencies.
Pitx and Javolenus samples used by robomusic were prepended to the intro for a smoother start.
