Stellar Heart Beat
Jam alternates between Gm and Ebm.
Started building the jam by layering three SAW drum beats, kept two: Android Acid and Dead Pixel. Jackin’ house drum beats and hits were layered on the SAW beats. Then added instrument riffs in Gm and Ebm.
A first for TRF: Selected two arpeggiated sounds on the Korg TR synth. Set the Korg tempo to the tempo of SAW drums, 130 bpm. Did not electronically sync the synth to the DAW. Recorded the Korg by ear listening the DAW playback during recording. After recording, there was a slight sync adjustment required to aligned the Korg with the SAW drums.
A first for TRF: use of the FL Studio’s embedded Ogun synth. The church organ preset sound was used on the bridge and outro.
maplesnow guitar added to break up the repetitiveness of the Eb minor passage.
Blue Waves claps from Rabbit Ears were added and tuned to Ebm or Gm as needed.
First sax line was created using “like_the_sunshine G_Maj 8beat 90” by Simon Sousa courtesy of freesound.org. All other sax lines played by Snake Davis.
Trying to use previously unused techniques, sounds, samples and effects because we have or have access to a huge pile of unused stuff.
