The remix started as an exercise in applying Apopxode’s ccMixter Beats Vol 2 tracks. Starting with Affair Shake, 16 bars of a pseudo-Miles groove emerged. Next 4 and 8 bar grooves were developed to fit Business Groove and Sales Call. Back beat snare on vocal choruses provided by Reiswerk.

Fiddling with some scratching samples, discovered a vinyl scratch that sounded like “what”. Liked it and added ccMixter voices to created a stack of “what”.
