Seven Doors to the River

Researching public domain content for this musical journey was fun and rewarding. Discovered music by Betty Rouché and the Memphis Jug Band. Lemon Henry “Blind Lemon” Jefferson was familiar as the “Father of Texas Blues.” The song Stealin’ motivated me to read about the evolution of the term “easy rider.” Betty Rouché’s bio is interesting and her version of “Take the A Train” with Duke Ellington is notable.
Searching for public domain Rod Serling and Twilight Zone TV program introductions yielded no results but steered me to an equally good fit, Alfred Hitchcock.
“Take your burden to the river” was recorded on an old but operable Samsung Galaxy 6. Emailed recording to the DAW computer and pitched down.
The whiskey bar banter behind door #1 was lifted from our 2011 interview of SackJo22 http://ccmixter.org/files/t...
