Lanzerote
Tabloid journalist, music very much a when-i-have-time thing… which seems to be whenever I’m not working. I like new experiences, so i appreciate anything that sounds different.. it’s a very difficult thing to do, i think, sounding different.
my music lacks structure, or rather it lacks a will to structure. what i try to achieve (mostly) is a stream of consciousness type of music… so there’s abrupt and extreme changes.
in order to challenge myself as a composer i have to challenge myself as a listener.
so it’s important to me that whatever i write has a sense of anticipation.
there’s been a handful of times when i’ve managed to write a song in a way that the extreme changes come to make sense. that’s the dragon i’m mostly chasing.
