Inna Barmash is the lead singer of the New York-based gypsy band ROMASHKA, which plays gypsy and folk dance party music from Russia, Romania, and beyond. Born in Lithuania, she immigrated to the United States in 1991. Besides Romashka, Inna performs Yiddish folk songs with her old friends in the Klez Dispensers, and has recorded several contemporary compositions with and by her partner-in-crime Ljova, a prominent violist/composer/arranger.
